The temple of vineyards
A combination of factors makes the hills of Frentane particularly suitable for vineyards: the clay and limestone soil, the breeze from the mountains to the sea, and the ample temperature fluctuations. Here the grapes are healthy, full of fragrance, with their own special typical characteristics. Alongside the classic vine varieties of Abruzzo, like Montepulciano, Pecorino, Passerina, and Trebbiano, the more important vines also align perfectly, including Merlot and Chardonnay, which take on a distinct character from the soil. Where Quercianera wines are born, the soil has been wine’s best friend for centuries.

In the heart of Abruzzo, in the heart of Italy
Perhaps it is not among the most well-known regions of Italy, but it is surely one of the most characteristic. Nestled in the center of the peninsula, Abruzzo is home to highest peaks of the Apennine Mountains along the Adriatic coast, an authentic portrait of Italy with medieval villages, the most beautiful and most loved Italy. And it is here, in the town of Atessa, that our family has lived for centuries.
